Policies
My relationship with clients is based on mutual trust and respect. Before working with me, you'll need to agree to the following non-negotiable policies in my commitment to provide a unique experience for you with integrity and compliance. Disagreeing with the policies indicates a misalignment of values, and we need to be a better fit to work together.
All new clients must complete a confidential health history form online.
I will email you a confidential client health history form (new clients) to fill out before the appointment.
The health history form will be updated yearly or when significant changes to your client's history occur. The information in the file is only released with the client's consent or as required by law. To provide the best care, I may discuss the case with other healthcare providers involved in the client's care. Please fill it out so I can customize your treatment accordingly.
Please know that you are accountable for informing me of any medical treatment, medication, and old or new health conditions.
I can only release the information in your file with your consent or as the law requires. To help you better, I may discuss your case with the other healthcare providers involved in your care.
Your commitment is to communicate your preferences and feedback before, during, or after the massage so I can deliver the best massage session for you.
Please always share if anything distracts you or you feel unwell or uncomfortable during the session so I can adjust.
I do not take offense to your HONEST feedback - positive or negative.
Cancellations/Rescheduling:
As a sole practitioner, all my income comes from you. When clients cancel on short notice, it jeopardizes my livelihood.
As the sole team member of this small business, every missed appointment impacts both myself and another potential client.
I greatly appreciate your understanding and consideration.
Therefore, I have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. Suppose you cancel, reschedule, or shorten your appointment with less than 48 hours' notice for any reason. In that case, the card on file will be charged for the total treatment cost. The only exception is if you fill your spot, the fee will be waived.
If you are not ready to start your session 30 minutes after my arrival, your session will be shortened, and the card on file will be charged for the total treatment cost.
Think of your massage session as a ticket to a concert that you can't bear to miss. If you can't make it, don't let that opportunity go to waste. Consider sending a friend or family member to take your place or assume the cost yourself.
I honor my policy in reverse! If I ever cancel on you on short notice, your next massage is discounted or free. I highly value your time and expect the same respect in return.
Arriving on Time/Session Length:
The time of your appointment is for hands-on time. Please add enough time to include in setting up and adding quick notes about your goals for the session. Pack-up afterward: this is approximately 20- 30 minutes in addition to your hands-on.
Please remember that if you don't fill out the forms emailed before the appointment, that time will be shortened from your hands-on appointment time.
Credit Card on File or Prepayment
Please keep a credit card on file or prepay to make sure you have dedicated session time and reserve your appointment exclusively for you.
You can prepay your service through a Gift Card, Venmo, or Quick Pay with Zelle using my phone number before the appointment date.
The cancellation/No-Show policy will still apply.
Please don't worry; you will only be charged if you don't follow the Cancellation/No-Show policy. Following your session, you can pay using any preferred available method.
Refusal of Service
For safety purposes, I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at any time.
Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following: intoxication, derogatory or bigoted comments, sexual or romantic advances, illness or infectious conditions, and contagious or unidentified skin conditions (such as rashes or mysterious bug bites).
If clients develop a skin condition, they must clear it with their doctor before receiving a massage.
Suppose clients exhibit any of these conditions or behaviors. In that case, they will be denied treatment, charged for the appointment, and discharged from the practice.
